복녀 스테파나 드 퀸차니(Blessed Stephana de Quinzani)는 1457년 이탈리아에서 가난하지만 신심 깊은 부모에게서 태어났다.
Blessed Stephana de Quinzani was born in Italy in 1457 to poor but devout parents.
그녀의 아버지는 도미니코 수도회의 3회원(Third Order of St. Dominic)이 되었다. 그녀는 어린아이 시절 아버지를 따라 도미니코회(Dominican Order)를 방문했을 때 그녀는 상흔을 입은 수도자인 복자 마태오 카레리(Blessed Matthaeus Carreri)를 만났다.
Her father became a member of the Third Order of St. Dominic. When she was a child visiting the Dominican Order with her father, she met Blessed Matthaeus Carreri, a scarred monk.
그는 그녀에게 교리를 가르쳐주었고 장차 그녀가 자신의 영적 상속자가 되리라고 말해주었다.
He taught her doctrine and told her that she would one day become his spiritual heir.

She didn't realize what these words meant at first. From the age of seven, she had visions of saints of the Dominican Order, which led her to embrace poverty, chastity, and obedience.

After that, she continued to experience miraculous experiences and apparitions. When she was 14 years old, Blessed Matthaeus Carreri died.
곧이어 그녀희 환시 중에 나타나 그녀가 상흔을 받을 것이라고 전해 주었다. 생계를 위해 하녀 일을 시작한 그녀는 15세 떄에 도미니코회(Dominican Order)에서 3회원(Third Order)으로 서원을 하고 가난하고 병든 이들을 위해 헌신했다.
Soon after, he appeared to her in a vision and told her that she would be scarred. She started working as a maid to make a living, and at the age of 15, she took a vow as a member of the Third Order of the Dominican Order and dedicated herself to helping the poor and sick.
그녀는 그들을 돌보기 위해서 3회원(Third Order) 자매들을 위한 공동체를 설립하고 초대 원장이 되었다. 그녀는 자주 탈혼(ecstasy)하였는데 특히 예수님께서 겪으신 수난의 각 단계에 직접 참여하는 일이 있었다.
To care for them, she founded a community for sisters of the Third Order and became its first director. She often ecstasyed, especially participating in each stage of Jesus' suffering.

She had gifts of healing and prophecy, and although she had no systematic theological training, she was able to discuss at a profound level.
1530년 1월 2일 선종한 그녀는 자신의 죽음까지도 정확하게 예고하였다.
She died on January 2, 1530, and even accurately predicted her own death.
