성녀 베아트릭스(Saint Beatrice d'Este)는 이탈리아 페라라의 귀족으로 태어났다. 그녀의 약혼한 남자가 전투 후 생긴 부상으로 결혼식 직전에 사망했다.

Saint Beatrice d'Este was born into a noble family in Ferrara, Italy. Her fiancé died shortly before the wedding from injuries sustained after battle. 

 

성녀 베아트릭스(Saint Beatrice d'Este)는 과부가 된 후 이탈리아 페라라의 성 안토니우스(Saint Antonius) 수도원에 들어가서 베네딕토 회원이 되었다.

After becoming a widow, Saint Beatrice d'Este entered the Monastery of Saint Antonius in Ferrara, Italy and became a member of Benedict. 

 

그 수도원은 그녀의 간절한 소망을 들어준 그녀의 집안에서 세웠다고 한다. 그녀는 여기서 높은 성덕을 쌓으며 지내다가 그곳에서 운명하고 묻혔는데 지금도 그녀의 무덤에서 치유의 은사가 일어남으로 순례자가 끊이질 않는다.

It is said that the monastery was founded by her family in response to her earnest wish. She lived here, practicing high sanctity, died and was buried there, and even now, pilgrims continue to come to her grave as the gift of healing arose.
