성 로도비코 파보니(Saint Lodovico Pavoni)는 1784년 9월 11일 이탈리아 부유한 귀족 집안의 아들로 태어났다.
Saint Lodovico Pavoni was born on September 11, 1784, as the son of a wealthy Italian noble family.
그는 활기 넘치고 총명한 아이로 자신을 둘러싼 세상에 관심을 갖고 당대의 사회적 문제들을 이해하는데 재빨랐다.
He was a lively and intelligent child who was interested in the world around him and was quick to understand the social issues of his time.
그는 어려서부터 신부의 집에서 신학교육을 받으며 사제직을 준비하였고 그는 1807년 사제품을 받았다.
From a young age, he received theological education at a priest's home to prepare for the priesthood, and he was ordained a priest in 1807.
그는 고아원과 직업학교를 설립할 허락을 받고 불행한 소년들을 돌보는 사업을 시작했다. 그는 자신의 사업을 지속하기 위해 사제와 수사들로 구성된 공동체를 만들었다.
He received permission to establish an orphanage and vocational school and began a business caring for unfortunate boys. He created a community of priests and monks to continue his work.
1847년 8월 11일 원죄 없으신 성모의 아들회(Sons of Mary Immaculate)가 설립되었다. 1849년 3월 24일 콜레라가 유행하면서 시민들을 돌볼 책임을 느낀 그는 자신에게 맡겨진 소년들을 이끌었다. 그러나 1849년 4월 1일 그는 선종하였다.
On August 11, 1847, the Sons of Mary Immaculate were founded. On March 24, 1849, as a cholera epidemic broke out, he felt responsible for caring for the citizens and led the boys entrusted to him. However, he died on April 1, 1849.
