빈첸시오 아 바오로 신부님은 넉넉지 않던 가정과 빈곤하고 척박한 곳에서 태어나 살림살이 뿐만 아니라 지역 주민 절반 이상이 글을 읽거나 쓸 줄 모르는 열악한 환경 속에서 농부들의 삶과 가난을 보시면서 자라오셨다고 합니다.
Father St. Vincent de Paulo was born in poor families and poor and barren places, and grew up looking at the lives and poverty of farmers in poor conditions where more than half of the local population could not read or write.
그것이 계기되셨던 것인지 자기 자신을 비우는 삶을 원하셨고 온몸으로 가난한 이를 사랑하셨으며 '빈첸시오 아 바오로 사랑의 딸회'와 '선교 사제회'를 창립하신 분입니다.

body, and founded 'Daughters of Charity of Saint Vincent de Paul' and 'Missionary Priests Association'.

가난한 자들을 위한 자선단체 애덕회와 선교 사제회를 설립하시고
루이즈 드 마리야크를 만나 루이즈의 신실함을 확인하고 애덕회의 책임을 맡겼는데요.
The reason why Father St. Vincent de Paulo established the Daughters of Charity of Saint Vincent de Paul was that he founded the Sisters of Charity for the poor and the Missionary Priests Association, met Louise de Mariac, confirmed Louise's faithfulness, and entrusted her with the responsibility of the Sisters of Charity
그러나 애덕회 회원의 대부분인 귀부인들이 하녀들을 대신 시켜 빈민들을 돌보는 것에서
사랑과 헌신의 정신이 결여되었음을 보시고 루이즈 드 마리야크를 비롯해
뜻을 같이하는 자매들을 모아 만들어진 것이 '빈체시오 아 바오로 사랑의 딸회'입니다.

most of the members of the Sisters of Charity, taking care of the poor by replacing maids,
the 'Daughters of Charity of Saint Vincent de Paul' was created by gathering sisters with the same mind, including Louise de Mariac.

진정한 신앙은 복음생활을 구체적으로 실천하는데 있으며 하느님에 대한 사랑은 사람 안에서, 특히 가난한 이들에 대한 사랑의 실천입니다.
True faith is the concrete practice of the Gospel life, and love for God is the practice of love in people, especially towards the poor.

그리스도께서는 자신이 당하신 수난에서 인간의 모습마저 잃으시어, 이방인들에게는 어리석게 보이시고, 유다인들에게는 걸림돌로 보이셨지만, 그로 인해 자신을 가난한 이들에게 복음을 전하시는 분으로 보이기를 바라셨습니다.
Christ lost even his human form in his Passion, appearing foolish to the Gentiles, He looked like a stumbling block to the Jews, but because of that, he wanted to see himself as someone who
preached the gospel to the poor.

주께서는 나를 보내시어 가난한 이들에게 복음을 전하게 하셨습니다. 우리는 같은 마음을 지니고서 그리스도를 본받아 가난한 이들을 돌보고 위로해 주고 도와주며 그들을 위해 기도해 주어야 합니다.
The Lord sent me to preach the gospel to the poor. With the same mind, we must imitate Christ
by caring for the poor, comforting them, helping them, and praying for them.

가난한 이들에 대한 봉사는 다른 모든 것에 우선되어야 하고 또 지체 없이 행해져야 합니다. 기도드리는 시간에 어떤 어려운 사람에게 약품과 도움을 베풀어야 할 필요성이 생기면, 짜증을 내지 말고 해야 합니다.
Service to the poor must take precedence over all else and must be done without delay.
If during the time of prayer the need arises to give medicines and assistance to some needy
person, it should be done without irritation.

하느님의 일 때문에 하느님을 떠나거나, 하느님의 일인 여타의 일 때문에 먼저 하던 하느님의 일을 중단했다고 해서, 하느님께서는 당신이 무시당했다고 느끼시지 않습니다.
God does not feel that you have been disregarded because you have left God for His work or have stopped doing God's work in the first place because of something else that is God's work.
